Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you enter the competition, register interest in tickets or contact us, and what we do with it.

1. What we collect

Entry data: name, stage name, date of birth, gender, email address, mobile number, address, town and country, category, biography, social links, photographs, video and any supporting files. Guardian data where the entrant is under 18. Ticket interest data: email address and the event you asked about.

2. Why we use it

To run the competition: shortlisting, scheduling regional audition days, contacting you about your entry, safeguarding, and production planning. Consent records are stored with a timestamp so we can evidence what you agreed to and when.

3. Ownership of your submission

Under our Terms and Conditions, all rights in your submission and in recordings of your performance pass to Muslims With Talent when you enter. This means we may use, edit, broadcast and publish them in any media. This section covers the content itself; your personal data remains protected under this policy and data protection law.

4. Hosting and security

Data and uploaded files are hosted on servers in the United Kingdom. Access is restricted by role, and media files are private: they are never publicly linked and can only be viewed by signed-in, authorised staff.

5. Who we share it with

The judging panel and production team; Cleartwo, which builds and maintains this platform as our data processor; our hosting provider, which stores the data on our behalf; Resend, which sends our emails; and Ticket Tailor, which acts as a separate controller for its own ticketing transactions and applies its own privacy policy.

6. Under 18 safeguarding

Entries from under 18s require parent or guardian consent. Their records and media are stored in a restricted area, flagged in our systems, and only accessible to safeguarding-cleared accounts. Consent to data processing can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.

7. Retention

Entry data is retained for the duration of the competition cycle and for up to 24 months afterwards for production, archive and audit purposes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may object to certain processing. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can decline without losing any functionality.
