Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms govern entry into the Muslims With Talent competition, including online submission, regional audition days and the Grand Final.

1. Eligibility

The competition is open to performers of all ages. Entrants under 18 on the date of entry must have a parent or guardian complete the guardian section of the entry form and countersign every declaration. Entries without valid guardian consent will not be considered.

2. Entries

One entry per person, per category. Group acts may enter as a single act and must nominate one lead contact who is responsible for all correspondence and consents on behalf of the group. Submissions must be the entrant's own original work, or performed with all necessary permissions in place.

3. Registration fee

A £10 registration fee applies per entry. How and when the fee is collected is shown on the entry form before you submit. The fee is non-refundable once an entry has been reviewed, except where required by law.

4. Ownership of submissions and recordings

By submitting an entry you assign to Muslims With Talent, absolutely and with full title guarantee, all present and future rights, title and interest (including copyright and all other intellectual property rights) in your submission and in any recording, photograph, film or broadcast of your performance made in connection with the competition, worldwide, for the full period of those rights and any renewals or extensions, without any fee or royalty.

To the extent permitted by law, you irrevocably and unconditionally waive any moral rights you have, or may have, in the submission and recordings. You confirm you have the right to make this assignment, and that your submission does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Where the entrant is under 18, the parent or guardian gives this assignment and waiver on the entrant's behalf.

5. Judging

Judging runs in two stages: online shortlisting of submitted entries, followed by a capped live regional audition day. Places at each regional day are limited. The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Disqualification

We may disqualify any entry that contains material which is plagiarised, unlawful, obscene, hateful or contrary to the values of the competition, or where an entrant provides false information, behaves abusively towards staff, judges or audiences, or breaches these terms.

7. Data protection

Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Data and uploaded files are stored on servers in the United Kingdom.

8. Safeguarding

Records and media belonging to entrants under 18 are stored in a restricted area with additional access controls, and are only accessible to named safeguarding-cleared members of the production team.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
